Amrita Dance Studio performs a beautiful Bharatanatyam dance. This is a classical Indian dance form, combining graceful movement, rhythm, facial expression, and storytelling.
Founded in Tallinn in 1984 by Irina Jankevich, Amrita Dance Studio has grown from a small dance group into Estonia's home for classical South Indian bharatanatyam. Over the decades, the studio has staged major productions, performed at the Orient festival with Eesti Kontsert, and even taken the stage in Bangalore, India, at the Kalanadam classical dance festival in 2013. Amrita continues to train new generations of dancers today, carrying forward a tradition of graceful movement, rhythm, and storytelling.
